چکیده
A new genus, Caucasoseris, is established to accommodate Prenanthes abietina, a species of hitherto uncertain systematic position distributed in the western Caucasus and northeasternmost Turkey montane conifer mixed forests. Agreement has existed that belongs somewhere Crepidinae or Lactucinae but its morphological features do not match any genus previous molecular phylogenetic analyses could establish sister group. This study provides additional micro- macromorphological, palynological anatomical data, used sampling designed ascertain relationship. group relationship with Chondrillinae inferred from tree based on nrITS. Phylogenetic analysis of chloroplast DNA matK gene and ITS of nrDNA sequences reveals polyphyly of the genus Sonchus and new relationships among the subtribe Sonchinae (Asteraceae: Cichorieae).
Phylogenetic relationships among genera of the subtribes Sonchinae (11 genera and ca. 130 species) and Dendroseridinae (2 genera and 12 species) sensu Bremer were assessed with ITS and matK gene sequences. The Sonchinae is strongly supported as paraphyletic, and subtribal rank of Dendroseridinae is poorly supported. This study re-delimits Sonchinae, which now includes 14 genera and ca. 146 spec...
متن کاملPhenolics as Chemosystematic Markers in and for the Genus Crepis (Asteraceae, Cichorieae)
In contrast to the huge variety of sesquiterpene lactones reported, only a limited number of flavonoids and phenolic acids are known from the genus Crepis. Compounds detected in the course of this investigation encompass flavonoids luteolin, luteolin 7-O-glucoside, luteolin 7-O-gentiobioside, luteolin 7-Oglucuronide, and luteolin 4’-O-glucoside and caffeic acid derivatives chlorogenic acid, 3,5...

Rhagadiolus stellatus Gaertn., a Mediterranean member of the Cichorieae tribe of the Asteraceae family used as a food plant, was analyzed for its spectrum of phenolic compounds. Kaempferol 3-O-β-glucoside 1, kaempferol 3-O-β-rutinoside (nicotiflorin) 2, quercetin 3-O-β-glucoside 3, and luteolin 4 were isolated from the n-butanol layer of a methanolic extract of whole plants of Rh. stellatus of ...
متن کاملLettowia, a new genus of Vernonieae from East Africa (Asteraceae)
A new genus, Lettowia H. Rob. & Skvarla is named for the single East African species originally described as Vernonia nyassae Oliv. Its pollen is lophate and triporate, with a perforated tectum restricted to the muri. The new genus is placed near Vernoniastrum in the subtribe Erlangeinae.
متن کاملTwo new mountainous species of Lactuca (Cichorieae, Asteraceae) from Iran, one presenting a new, possibly myrmecochorous achene variant
It is shown that the concept of the Iranian endemic Lactuca polyclada in the sense of both its original author Boissier and its current use actually admixes two entirely different species, as was first noted by Beauverd a hundred years ago but has been neglected by later workers. One is a putative relative of Lactuca rosularis, the other was recognised by Beauverd as a member of the genus Cicer...
